Five Cozy Fall Favorites

Happy Fall Y’all!

Happy Fall Y’all!

Hello friends and Happy Fall! It’s still 80+ degrees down here in New Orleans, but within the safe oasis of my air conditioned apartment I’m starting to get into the Fall spirit. It’s been a difficult few weeks migraine wise, so I thought I’d share some of my top Fall finds that have been bringing me joy on a daily basis.

I am a total creature of comfort, and my level of happiness and security is highly correlated to the coziness of my living space. One of my favorite forms of self care is to make my home a rejuvenating, clean and calm oasis all year long. In the Spring and Summer, fresh flowers and uplifting essential oils like grapefruit and bergamot are regular staples.

And in the Fall (…which to me is basically one long build up to Christmas!!!…) it’s all about filling my home with warm, cozy smells, touches and tastes.

Below are five things I’ve been loving lately that have stepped up my Fall game. Enjoy! 🍂☕️🎃💫

1. Pumpkin Souflee Candle , Anthropologie: This candle. I can’t quite put into words how much I love this candle. I used to live down the street from an Anthropologie, and each year buying this candle was a ceremonious “welcome, Fall!” gesture. It smells like heaven, truly. It transitions perfectly through November and December so you get to enjoy it all holiday season long. It’s absolutely my favorite candle of all time.

4. Aerie Waffle Dolman Tee , Aerie: I literally live for comfortable athleisure wear. When I was little, I was hyper-sensitive to textures and used to have my mom cut out all of the tags on my clothes (no lie, I could not relax when I could feel any scratchy tags #crazychild) . Even today, finding clothes that I’m comfortable wearing is no easy feat. Oddly enough, an old high school favorite, Aerie, has become one of my new go-to’s for comfy basics. I have an entire wardrobe of stripes and neutrals, and could live in this lightweight long-sleeve.

3. The Striped Dakota Pullover , Z Supply: Z Supply has quickly become one of my favorite brands for comfortable basics. This lightweight pullover is a nice cozy material that is perfect for at-home lounging and casual wear. Drawstring hood (great for an impromptu eye mask), dropped sleves, ribbed trim and pockets make it a dream come true. I got the navy and black in a size small and it fits perfectly. Couldn’t recommend more! (and seriously eying the white and black…)

5. Four Sigmatic Mushroom Hot Cacao , Amazon (can also order from Thrive ) : I am so grateful I learned about Four Sigmatic, because their products have become one of my favorite daily rituals. I often start my day with either Mushroom Coffee or Chaga, but almost every single day I have a cup of the Mushroom Hot Cacao before bed. Reishi is calming and soothing, and the cacao satisfies my sweet tooth when I would reach for a dessert.

2. Faux Fur Throw, Pottery Barn: Words fail to describe the magnificence of this blanket. I feel the same way about blankets as I feel about the pumpkin candle. I was gifted one of these blankets three years ago, and it is still one of my all time favorite items. It is so soft and cozy. My boyfriend calls it the bear blanket, because he feels like you’re wrapped in a bear hug. I think I just call it heaven, because that’s what it feels like.

Bonus : Warm White Twinkly Lights , Amazon: As far as I’m concerned, twinkly lights turn up the cozy in any space. I have a string of lights hanging both over our bookshelf in the living room, and across the dresser in our bedroom year round. But, when we are talking about essential Fall basics, I think they are an absolute must. The warm glow they give off begs for calm and cozy and warms up any space.
